The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is undoubtedly the most spectacular sea creature on the planet, with 12 to 15 meters in length and weighing up to 12 tonnes.
From November to March, Djibouti became the meeting place for the observation of these giants.
Bay Arta beach is indeed one of the few places in the world where whale sharks concentrations appear in nearshore waters where they can be easily observed and photographed. Fins, mask and snorkel than sufficient to meet these sharks, drugs of grace and beauty. Completely harmless, evolving open mouth to absorb the plankton, they also have the distinction of being very playful! Dive and swim alongside them is just magical.
